About the Role This is not a resume-screening role and not a "find profiles and pass them along" job. You will own pipeline generation across our most critical open roles — engineering, sales, and operations — working directly with our recruiter and founders to identify, engage, and warm up the candidates we actually want to talk to. If you view sourcing as a mix of research, outbound sales, and creative detective work, this role is for you. This is a high-output, high-ownership role. The quality of your pipeline directly determines the quality of our hires. What You'll Do Build and own top-of-funnel pipeline Proactively source candidates across Engineering and Sales roles using LinkedIn, personal networks, referrals, and non-obvious channels Run targeted outbound campaigns — crafting personalized messages that actually get responses, not copy-paste templates Maintain a warm pipeline of candidates at all stages — not just active applicants, but future hires we haven't opened a role for yet Identify and engage passive candidates who aren't looking but should be Partner closely with recruiting and leadership Work directly with our recruiter and hiring managers to deeply understand each role — not just the job description, but what "great" actually looks like Calibrate continuously on signal vs. noise — what profiles are converting and why Flag patterns in the market: where the talent is, where the competition is hiring from, what's moving people Run outreach with rigor and creativity Write compelling, personalized outreach across LinkedIn, email, and other channels A/B test messaging approaches and iterate based on response rates Keep candidates warm through thoughtful, timely follow-up Own sourcing operations Keep our ATS (Ashby) clean and up to date — every candidate tracked, every stage logged Track sourcing metrics: outreach volume, response rates, pipeline conversion, time-to-screen Identify bottlenecks and bring solutions, not just status updates What We're Looking For Sourcing depth, not just breadth 4+ years of sourcing or recruiting experience, ideally at a fast-moving startup or agency Proven ability to build pipelines for hard-to-fill technical and GTM roles Experience with using AI and sourcing tools. (Cursor, Juicebox, Linkedin Recruiter, etc.) Sharp outreach instincts You write messages people actually respond to — specific, human, and relevant You understand that sourcing is persuasion, and you're good at it You know when to follow up and when to move on High output, high ownership You run multiple searches simultaneously without dropping balls You track your own metrics and hold yourself accountable to them You surface problems before they become blockers Logistics Available full-time hours (40 hrs/week) on a 1099 contract basis Comfortable working in-person at our SF office or remotely Immediate or near-immediate availability preferred What You'll Get Direct impact: The candidates you source become Artie's future team — your fingerprints are on every hire Close partnership: Work directly with our recruiter and founding team, not buried in a sourcing queue Real ownership: You'll own the pipeline for roles that matter, with full visibility into outcomes Path to more: Strong performance opens the door to a full-time role as Artie scales its talent function This is a contract position.
