Fork Lift Operator

Dust; Corn Dust Any additional Medical Surveillance testing required? No. Does not need a physical. Will they be driving? No Over the ankle steel toe or composite toe boots Screens: Background and Drug must be clear prior to start. Will move to a 24/7 schedule after Harvest. Hours TBD

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Professional, accident-free operation of the forklift, and the precise keeping of the forklift inspections. Systematic maintenance and cleaning of the forklift Continuous tracking of the location of goods during material handling using WMS. Use the WMSystem accordingly and ensure accurate data entry. Perform any other manual job at the direction of the warehouse supervisor or team lead (e.g. sampling, inventory, cleaning) Keep the warehouse clean and tidy During the seed delivery and return season: ensure proper (loading and unloading) of transport vehicles with quality packages to meet customer expectations Maintain safety standards - initiate & follow emergency procedures when necessary

PREFFERED EXPERIENCE

1 year of forklift experience 1 year of warehouse experience Prior forklift certification is preferred

SKILLS

Ability to count accurately when moving inventory Ability to read scales Ability to multi-task and detailed oriented Being alert and aware when driving the forklift in a safe manner Ability to communicate and work by yourself or with a team Ability to work in tighter, confined spaces with a forklift

QUALIFICATIONS/BASIC JOB REQUIREMENTS

Pass a background check and other pre-employment screenings Have reliable transportation to the site and be able to arrive at the work site as instructed. Maintain enthusiasm, good attitude, honesty and a willingness to treat all with respect Operates fork lift to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials in warehouse area. Follows regulatory requirements. May require certification. May use technology (PCs, scanners, etc.) to complete job tasks.
