Work Environment

This full-time position requires an onsite presence at our modern Rehabilitation Center in Herndon, Virginia, where you will work a standard schedule of 40 hours per week, with variable weekends as needed. Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough assessments and evaluations of patients to understand their functional limitations and create individualized treatment plans.
• Implementing and modifying treatment plans based on patient progress and feedback, ensuring compliance with established laws, regulations, and professional standards.
• Providing expert consultations to healthcare providers regarding the patient's ongoing care and progression.
• Documenting treatments accurately, including patient evaluations and charges, and maintaining electronic health records in line with organizational policies.
• Collaborating with an interdisciplinary treatment team, including physicians and other healthcare professionals, to optimize patient care.
• Participating in community outreach and marketing efforts to promote the physical therapy program and educate the public about available services.
• Supervising and providing support to assigned therapy aides, students, and support staff, fostering a positive working environment.
• Staying current with best practices and innovations in the field through participation in continuous education and professional development opportunities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will focus on a diverse range of patients dealing with orthopedic issues, rehabilitation needs following surgery or injury, and chronic pain conditions. This role emphasizes delivering patient-centered care, taking into consideration the unique needs and circumstances of each individual. You will engage with patients of all ages and backgrounds, ensuring that your approach is culturally competent and adheres to our high standards of service excellence.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you must possess the following:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Active state licensure in Physical Therapy, with strong knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, allowing for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare colleagues.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic word processing skills.

Preferred Experience

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of relevant experience in physical therapy, particularly focused on orthopedic rehabilitation and outpatient environments. Compensation and Benefits

Healthactions Physical Therapy offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
