Overview Registered Nurse – Postpartum in Cambridge, MA, United States. This is a 13-week travel assignment starting 09/15/2026 in a hospital setting. Weekly pay ranges from $2,460 to $2,589 per week with guaranteed hours of 36 per week. Shift is rotating 2x3. The role focuses on postpartum care for mothers and newborns, within a hospital postpartum unit. Key Highlights Weekly pay: $2,460–$2,589 per week Guaranteed hours: 36 hours per week Contract duration: 13 weeks Shift: Rotating 2x3 Start date: 09/15/2026 Setting: Hospital postpartum unit Responsibilities Provide direct nurse-led postpartum care for mothers following vaginal or cesarean delivery and support healthy newborn care. Monitor and respond to vital signs, postpartum recovery, pain, bleeding, and potential complications (e.g., postpartum hemorrhage, magnesium sulfate administration as ordered). Administer prescribed medications and IV therapies (e.g., IV antibiotics, IV magnesium as ordered, Rhogam, Lovenox) and document care in the EMR. Support lactation and breastfeeding, provide patient and family education, and coordinate newborn care, discharge planning, and safety instructions. Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure smooth patient flow, accurate documentation, and timely escalation as needed; participate in unit-based rounds and care coordination. Requirements Active Massachusetts RN license with Nursys verification pulled within the last 7 days. Current AHA BLS and NRP certifications required at submission; flu vaccine during season. 1+ year of acute care/postpartum nursing experience. Travel experience preferred; willing to consider first-time travelers; locals within 50 miles may qualify for a local rate. Up-to-date resume including 2 recent Charge RN/Manager/Supervisor references; lactation certification preferred; driver’s license with address matching demographics. EMR experience and ability to work in a postpartum unit; RTO must be included at submission.
