Working Conditions The incumbent must be able to bend, reach, grasp, push or pull paper rolls and carts, and lift up to 40 pounds on a continuous basis. Print Services is a 24/5 (24 hours, 5 days a week) operation, running three continuous shifts. Applications received in response to this opportunity bulletin will be held and considered for up to 180 days. You will be assigned to one of the following Shifts: Graveyard Shift - Work hours from 11:00 pm to 7:30 am, Monday through Saturday. This shift is eligible for a pay differential of an additional $86.67 per month. Under the direction of the Information Technology (IT) Manager/Supervisors, the IT Technician will be responsible for operating duplex and flash fusion production printers using TSO/ISPF Job Entry Subsystems (JES3) commands, via web to host connections. The incumbent will be responsible for setting up, prompting, and executing DMV's mission critical, date sensitive print production batch jobs, while following priorities, quality control guidelines, and established procedures. Additional duties include managing and processing print jobs, loading and unloading paper and printing supplies, ensuring all printers and peripheral devices are cleaned and operational, and that required preventative maintenance is performed. The incumbent will be responsible for analyzing and troubleshooting issues with printing equipment and output, taking action to develop appropriate solutions, notifying the appropriate vendors, programmers, units, and managers. The incumbent will be tasked with documenting error messages encountered on the equipment and consoles, logging, inputting, and keeping records of production output and statistics, equipment readings, and quality control checks. This position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills. The incumbent will attend meetings, provide and receive shift to shift turnover and communicate with business partners and management via email, telephone and in-person contact.
