Senior Accountant – Regulatory AccountingPlease Note: This is a hybrid position, working both at the GPC Office in Atlanta and remotely.JOB ATTRIBUTES DESCRIPTIONThe position is in the Integrated Transmission System Department (ITS), a part of the Georgia Power Company (GPC) Regulatory Accounting Organization.The ITS accounting department ensures that the associated costs of using, operating and maintaining the system are shared fairly amongst the transmission owners in the state. This position is part of a collaborative team, executing the accounting and billing of the various ITS contracts and ensuring compliance with GAAP, SEC, FERC, and GPSC requirements. The position will also support billing and other accounting activities related to the Open Access Transmission Tariff (OATT).The position will be: filled at a level dependent on the skills and experience of the individual selected expected to perform detailed analytical and investigative work to ensure compliance with the ITS contracts, procedures, and agreementsexpected to improve the efficiency and accuracy of current processeshybrid, working both remotely and at the GPC Office in AtlantaThe person in this position will work directly with various departments within Georgia Power Accounting Finance and Treasury, GPC Transmission, and external ITS Owner personnel.
