Audiology Technician On-Call

Position Summary Aldevra is seeking an Audiology Technician to assist the Audiologist in performing audiologic evaluations and fitting hearing aids. Provide direct patient support for walk‑in and telephone hearing aid problems. Job Details Job Title: Audiology Technician On‑call Report to: Operations Manager Location: Minneapolis, MN Work schedule: On‑Call FLSA Status: Non‑Exempt Duties and Responsibilities Assist Audiologist in audiological evaluations Take accurate ear mold impressions Prepare the mold for shipping Track hearing aid orders and communicate with vendors Monitor supplies Perform routine repairs of hearing aids Clean and maintain audiologic equipment in accordance with OSHA standards Provide chart review as needed Instruct clients in proper maintenance, cleaning and use of hearing aids and/or assisted listening devices (ALD) Communicate and document patient education and reports in the medical record Perform cerumen management May routinely be required to perform a variety of previously unforeseen tasks to assist with the smooth functioning of the Audiology clinic Requirements Must be able to obtain a PIV security badge This position requires passing an extensive background check Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent and training One‑year experience as Audiology Technician is preferred One‑year previous medical experience or training in medical fields (e.g., medical assistant, lab assistant, LPN) Dependable, professional, punctual and possess strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to speak, understand, read, and write English fluently Authorized to work in the United States for any employer Provide proof of the following tests: Tuberculosis Skin Test (TST) or interferon‑gamma release assays (IGRA), Measles, Mumps, and Rubella, Varicella, Acellular Pertussis, Influenza, OSHA regulation concerning occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens Veterans and Military Spouses are encouraged to apply Benefits Paid Time Off Employee 401(k) with company match Professional team environment Competitive compensation Pay Range $22-26 an hour, depending on experience, certification, qualifications, and customer/site requirements.
