Since 1938, we have been producing high quality products for you and your family.All candidates will be required to take and pass a test consisting of math, reading, process flow, and mechanical aptitude, prior to the interview. A minimum score of 67% must be met to be considered for employment.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Supervision, assisting with & teaching the Standard Operating Procedures/Conditions of:Cleaning, set-up, operating and monitoring equipment of the production line.Perform cleanings during set down times and product changeovers.Load/unload stacks and move items as assigned.Sort, bundle and fill containers or place them in assembled units.Mark or place identifying labels on product loads, ensuring that all finished products are coded properly.Record movement of stock in and out of work areas.Ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic to moderate operating difficulties.Monitor materials, products, and equipment at each step of the process and reports irregularities to supervisor.Maintain communication with other departments, management and employees and notify them of any problems and/or concerns that may restrict efficiency.Ensure all paperwork is filled out in a clear, legible, and accurate format.Utilizing continuous improvement mindset, assisting in identifying opportunities to improve processes.Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's)Follow all required work safe practices. This would include wearing of all required personal protection equipment (PPE) in designated areas, confined space safety, safe chemical handling, fall restraints, etc.Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately.Other duties assigned or required by the department manager.Keep a calm, always collected head/mindset.Always follow the chain of command, unless in case of emergency.Communicate exceptionally well with the other shift supervisors, managers, & operators always, especially in case of an emergency.Work Environment:While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and forklifts.The employee is occasionally exposed to wet / humid / cold conditions (non-weather).The noise level in the work environment may be loud.The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, climb, and sit.The employee may occasionally be required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.Prairie Farms, Inc. is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and is an affirmative action employer.
