Senior Accounting Consultant - 5-Month Contract About the Role: Phoenix Pro Connect is seeking a Senior Accounting Consultant for a 5-month contract to support the Controllership team . The ideal candidate will have a strong background in month-end close, fixed asset accounting, and inventory reporting . This role requires someone detail-oriented, experienced in high-volume accounting functions, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: 1. Month-End Close Support
This is a contract opportunity for a motivated accounting professional looking to contribute their expertise to a dynamic team.
- Prepare and refresh Smartviews and roll forward variance files.
- Perform G&A scrubs and accruals to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Process advertising & marketing accruals .
- Record finance review accruals and reclassification entries .
- Manage intercompany service fee adjustments .
- Process and maintain fixed asset additions .
- Code and validate weekly shipping invoices related to inventory expenses.
- Assist with month-end inventory reporting and borrowing base treasury support .
- Run key inventory reports and perform initial validations.
- Prepare and post daily cash journal entries to support financial operations.
- Support healthcare-related accounting entries , including payroll reclassifications and management fees .
- Assist with Blackline reconciliations, risk changes, and PBC maintenance .
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred but not required).
- 5+ years of experience in corporate accounting, controllership functions, or financial reporting.
- Strong proficiency in month-end close, accruals, reconciliations, and variance analysis .
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Excel skills .
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail .
