Payroll Manager

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to lead and oversee all payroll functions, ensuring accurate and timely weekly payroll processing while driving compliance, efficiency, and exceptional employee support. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) , this leadership role manages a team of 4-7 payroll professionals and serves as a key partner to Finance and Human Resources. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented payroll expert with strong knowledge of payroll regulations, tax compliance, benefits administration, and payroll systems. Responsibilities Lead and manage the end-to-end weekly payroll process, ensuring accuracy and timely execution Supervise, mentor, and support a payroll team of 4-7 employees Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations and labor laws Maintain accurate employee payroll records, earnings, deductions, and related documentation Prepare payroll reports, audits, reconciliations, and compliance-related documentation Administer payroll-related benefit deductions and collaborate with benefits providers as needed Partner with Finance and Human Resources to streamline payroll processes and maintain regulatory compliance Identify opportunities to improve payroll efficiency through automation and process enhancements Resolve payroll discrepancies and provide exceptional support to employees and management Preferred Qualifications 2+ years of payroll management or payroll leadership experience Hands-on experience with payroll platforms such as ADP, Paychex, UKG, or similar systems Strong understanding of payroll tax regulations, compliance requirements, and payroll best practices Experience managing weekly payroll cycles in a fast-paced environment Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information Effective communication and team leadership skills Company Description Salson Logistics is a leading asset-based third-party logistics (3PL) provider delivering integrated supply chain solutions throughout the United States.
