Payroll Manager

Key Responsibilities

Process end-to-end payroll using UltiPro, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Manage payroll transactions, including: New hires, terminations, transfers, compensation, job changes, garnishments, and deductions
Reconcile and validate payroll data prior to submission
Process special payrolls, including bonuses and year-end adjustments
Partner with internal teams to resolve payroll-related inquiries
Respond to employee questions related to pay, taxes, deductions, and leave balances
Investigate and resolve complex payroll issues and escalations
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
Support audits and respond to inquiries from government agencies
Manage multiple priorities while meeting strict payroll deadlines

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field
7+ years of multi-state payroll experience in a high-volume environment
Experience with multi-entity payroll structures (multiple FEINs) preferred
CPP or FPC certification strongly preferred
Strong knowledge of U.S. wage and hour laws, payroll taxes, and garnishments
Experience with UltiPro required
Experience with IBM Cognos Business Intelligence is a plus
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, complex formulas)
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
High attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
