Principal (Essential) Duties

1. Recruit participants for age appropriate Project Impact Programs.
2. Assist curricula implementation.
3. Collect all necessary data for Program Evaluator.
4. Recruit participants for Alcohol Tobacco and Other Drugs, along with Violence prevention education services.
5. Maintain the tracking system for program participants for each age group.
6. Schedule home visitations and submit to coordinator.
7. Work with other staff to create, implement and manage service projects for specific age groups.
8. Conduct outreach visitation with community youth & local youth serving agencies.

Secondary Duties

1. Maintain caseload.
2. Maintain participant files
3. Daily In school lunch visitations.
4. Attend after school events of students (i.e, sporting, educational and awards.)
5. Participate in various in school and after school program activities.
6. Knowledge of school systems and standards.
7. Knowledge of child development.
8. Knowledge of children's learning styles and needs.
9. Problem solving skills.
10. Awareness of urban issues.

Position Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in social work or related field and 5 years of experience working with urban youth or any other combination of training and experience, as approved.
2. Excellent organizational and communication skills.
3. Up-to-date knowledge of ATOD related issues.
4. Strong knowledge of effective program planning and implementation.
5. Awareness of community resources and career training opportunities.
6. Must be creative, decisive, logical, focused, self-driven, task-oriented, and fair.
7. Excellent time management and administrative managerial skills.
