Enterprise Architect

What You'll Do Provide consultation services to domain leadership to improve technology delivery and operational efficiency. Research and communicate fact‑based recommendations to Master Architects to support the domain in the Enterprise Architecture governance process. Provide thought leadership and build strong stakeholder partnerships to articulate current state, target state, and domain roadmap. Partner with delivery teams and domain leadership on architecture areas to include business, application, data, cloud/infrastructure, security, integration, operations, and support in preparation for leadership meetings and architectural peer group meetings. Research, understand, and apply existing, new, and emerging technologies and trends to determine their potential impact on technology domains. Translate the enterprise's technology future‑state architecture vision into principles, guidelines, standards, and patterns to ensure alignment with broader strategic goals. Identify opportunities and approaches for solving domain problems from a broad enterprise perspective that may include new products, new platforms, or system enhancements for Agile teams and domain leadership to help promote the reuse of existing technical investments and capabilities. Create and maintain reference materials for use by the technical delivery team to ensure consistent and compliant solutions for enterprise‑level architecture patterns. Participate in the planning and design of strategic initiatives that require architecture guidance. Understand and adhere to the Company's risk and regulatory standards, policies, and controls in accordance with the Company's risk appetite. Identify risk‑related issues needing escalation to management. Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the client Bank brand. Maintain client internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable. This position will interface with senior leaders, and will require excellent communication skills along with basic knowledge of new and emerging technology trends, and the practical application of those trends for strategic use. Translate business strategy into capability, value stream, and initiative roadmaps. Ensure initiatives align to strategic objectives and target outcome. Develop and maintain business capability maps, value streams, and operating models. Define current‑state and target‑state business architectures. Identify capability gaps and prioritize investments based on business value. Support portfolio planning and initiative prioritization. Assess business processes, structures, and systems for alignment and efficiency. Define business‑driven requirements for transformation efforts. Partner with executives, product teams, EA, and delivery teams. Facilitate alignment across business and technology stakeholders. Establish and enforce business architecture standards and frameworks. Ensure traceability from strategy through execution. Collaborate with Enterprise, Solution, and Data Architects to align designs. Ensure business intent is reflected in solution and technology decisions. Job Requirements High School diploma or GED. Minimum of 11+ years of experience in developing and integrating applications using relevant software architecture principles and patterns. Minimum of 11+ years of experience in software engineering, software delivery or solution architecture. Minimum of 11+ years of experience in business architecture, strategy, consulting, or transformation roles. Minimum of 11+ years of experience in Business & Technology Acumen. Minimum of 11+ years of experience in Business Architecture Expertise. Minimum of 11+ years of experience in Executive Communication. Minimum of 11+ years of experience in building business architecture artifacts (capability maps, value streams, operating models). Minimum of 11+ years of experience in working in large, complex enterprises. What Sets You Apart Bachelors or Master's Degree. Working knowledge of architectural frameworks. Working knowledge of enterprise architecture tools. Certification and experience working with Cloud technologies and vendors. Experience working in an Agile environment. Experience working in the financial services industry. Experience working in two or more technical roles related to banking technical design and roadmap planning. Strategic thinking and business model design. Capability modeling and value stream mapping. Systems thinking and enterprise analysis. Stakeholder facilitation and executive communication. Problem‑solving and structured decision‑making. Financial and investment analysis (business case, prioritization). Influence without authority across complex organizations. Visualization and modeling (e.g., capability maps, operating models). Business Architecture Guild / BIZBOK concepts and practices. Enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, FEAPO‑aligned definitions). Operating model design and business transformation methods. Financial services industry structure, regulations, and risk considerations. Portfolio management and investment prioritization. SDLC and technology delivery lifecycle alignment. Data, process, and organizational design principles. Certifications Certified Business Architect (CBA) – Business Architecture Guild. TOGAF or equivalent EA certification.
