Job Title: Machine Operator Job Description

The Machine Operator runs production equipment, monitors output, and ensures parts are properly packaged and inspected according to quality standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate assigned production machines safely and efficiently throughout the shift.
• Monitor machine performance and make basic adjustments to maintain consistent output and product quality.
• Perform visual and manual inspection of parts to ensure they meet established specifications and quality standards.
• Package finished parts accurately and securely, following established packaging procedures.
• Handle general production and general labor tasks as needed to support the overall manufacturing process.
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
• Follow all safety guidelines, standard operating procedures, and quality control processes.
• Report any equipment issues, defects, or production concerns to the appropriate personnel promptly.
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet production targets and deadlines.

Essential Skills

• At least 1 year of recent experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience operating production machinery or equipment in a factory or plant setting.
• Ability to perform detailed visual inspection of parts to identify defects or nonconformities.
• Hands-on experience with general production and general labor tasks.
• Ability to perform packaging duties, including counting, labeling, and organizing finished parts.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to following established procedures.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks in a production environment.
• Reliability and consistency in attendance and performance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in high-volume production or assembly environments.
• Basic mechanical aptitude to understand machine operation and simple adjustments.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a production team.
• Willingness to learn new processes and adapt to changing production needs.

Work Environment

This role is based in a manufacturing facility with active production lines and operating machinery. You work on your feet for most of the shift, performing repetitive tasks such as operating equipment, inspecting parts, and packaging products. The environment may involve moderate noise from machines and requires adherence to safety protocols, including the use of appropriate personal protective equipment. Work is typically performed in a structured, fast-paced setting with clear procedures and production targets.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Butler, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.25/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
