Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior TIG/MIG Welder to join our manufacturing team. This role is ideal for a skilled welder who takes pride in producing high-quality work, can read blueprints and engineering drawings, and thrives in a fast-paced production environment.

The successful candidate will have extensive TIG and MIG welding experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while supporting team production goals.

Responsibilities

• Weld metal components according to engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications using TIG and MIG welding processes
• Inspect materials and parts prior to welding to ensure quality and accuracy
• Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment and tools
• Perform repetitive production welding while maintaining quality standards
• Use hand tools and measuring equipment as required
• Read and interpret weld symbols, blueprints, and technical drawings
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Assist in other production areas as needed to support operational requirements
• Follow all company safety policies and quality procedures

QualificationsRequired

• Minimum 5 years of TIG and MIG welding experience
• Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and weld symbols
• Ability to accurately measure and inspect parts
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Ability to meet productivity standards and complete work efficiently
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Dependable with a strong work ethic
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Ability to regularly lift, push, or pull up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds or more

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in metal fabrication or metal shop production
• Experience welding aluminum and stainless steel
• Experience operating or programming Miller robotic welding systems
• Basic Microsoft Office skills (Word and Outlook)

Location: Somerset, NJ

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour (DOE)

Job Type: Full-Time

Schedule:

• First Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
• Overtime as needed
