Registered Nurse - Clinical - Transplant Clinic

Job Summary The Registered Nurse provides comprehensive nursing care during the patient’s hospital stay, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care while coordinating with the healthcare team. Schedule Weekend shift, 7 p.m. – 7 a.m. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive nursing assessment and reassessment, including admission and transfer evaluations. Document findings accurately and completely. Establish, coordinate, and evaluate a patient‑centered plan of care based on assessment data and physician orders. Provide patient and family education and discharge planning throughout hospitalization. Collaborate with health‑care team members, coordinating daily plans and handoff communications. Administer medications, manage IV fluids, parenteral nutrition, and other orders in accordance with policies. Perform and document interventions, monitor patient status, and respond to changes in condition. Maintain infection control practices and use safe patient handling techniques. Document ongoing evaluation of care effectiveness and adjust the plan of care as needed. Provide specialized care for high‑risk patients, including restraint (when necessary), pain management, and abuse assessment. Adhere to safety, quality, and performance standards, including participation in committees, committees, and education activities. Maintain current license, certifications, and required training (e.g., BLS, A&P, TB, influenza). Qualifications Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Missouri. Current BLS certification (Health Care Provider). Ability to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Strong communication, clinical judgment, and teamwork skills.
