Overview Founded in 1951, Lakeside Country Club is considered among the top private clubs in Texas. The club has a rich history and holds a prominent position in the lives of its membership. Situated on 206 acres, just twelve miles from downtown Houston, the club has completed a total Golf Course and Practice Area renovation by Jay Blasi in 2023. Additionally, a new Clubhouse--including Golf Shop & Cart Storage--was constructed in 2020. Lakeside provides their members with world class services, which include a professionally managed golf facility, a challenging and well maintained 18-hole golf course, an extensive practice area and teaching facility, a 5-hole short course (The Hutch), a first-rate Golf Shop retail environment, and numerous golf tournaments and events throughout the course of the year. There are approximately 40,000 rounds of golf per annum with active practice and teaching facilities. Experience Required Good Knowledge of the game and operation of golf Ability to instruct others Good oral and communication skills Ability to interact well with members Willingness and ability to lead others Record of good playing ability Essential Responsibilities Leads the operation on a day-to-day basis. Provides Golf Lessons to members and guests. Manages outside services through consistent communication and contact. Plays golf with members of all skill-levels to generate enthusiasm. Conducts Junior Clinics and Training Programs Collects charges and fees for golf-related activities Assists with Club Tournaments and related events Interprets and enforces golf rules and regulations; club policies, rules and regulations Represents the club in area professional events including local, state, or national events with the approval of the golf committee Maintains records relating to player and guest rounds and other statistics Serves as marshals for tournaments and at other times as determined by the Director of Golf or Head Golf Professional Adheres to all federal, state and local laws regarding health, safety, and employment Assists with the outside service personnel management responsibilities Performs other duties as assigned Benefits Health, dental, vision, and life insurance plans 401k with up to 3% match after 1 year of employment 2 Weeks PTO after one year of employment Paid Sick leave after 1 year of employment 5-day work week except for major tournament weeks PGA Dues/Education Monthly Uniform Budget Practice and playing privileges Complementary meals while on duty #J-18808-Ljbffr Twice
