The Company also offers 401(k) options with matching under policy guidelines.Reporting to the Assistant Controller, the Staff Accountant is responsible for day-to-day financial transactions for accounts payable, accounts receivable, month end close, and other ad hoc projects. This position will cross train to cover multiple functions and requires strong analytical, organizational, and verbal/written communication skills. The ideal candidate is dependable, accountable, and able to take ownership of responsibilities, deadlines, and results. The ability to collaborate efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality is crucial.Primary duties include:Prepare consolidated internal and external financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system and from various departmentsPrepare various month-end journal entries and maintain required accounting schedules, such as prepaids and depreciationPrepares bank deposits and cash flow statementsPrepares payments by accruing expenses; assigning account numbers; requesting disbursements; reconciling accountsSupport of A/R function, including processing inbound POs, generating invoices, and posting depositsAnswers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting dataPerforms ad hoc analysis for Finance and Accounting, and other inter-departmental teams as neededProtects organization's value by keeping confidential informationPerforms other tasks and duties as assigned by ManagementEducation, knowledge, competencies, and skills required include:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or FinanceTwo (2) years bookkeeping or accounting experienceSolid computer skills including strong MS Excel background (RentalMan experience is a plus)High integrity and strong work ethic, maintaining confidentiality, sound ethical judgment, and honesty in all financial responsibilitiesSelf-driven with strong internal motivation and pride in producing high-quality workGrowth-oriented mindset with openness to constructive feedback and a desire to continuously develop professionallyMust have desire to learn about the various companies that are supported and grow in an accounting careerMust be able to work independently, prioritizing and meeting deadlinesMust be able to work in a team environment to complete department assigned projectsMust be able to multi-task and work on many different projects at one timeMust be detail oriented and organized, with excellent problem-solving skills4-Horn Management, LLC is an Equal Opportunity Company.
