We are looking for a detail-oriented Loan Operations Specialist to support commercial lending operations in Los Angeles, California within the Financial Services industry. This Long-term Contract position focuses on the administration of syndicated and participated loan facilities, helping ensure accurate records, timely processing, and strong adherence to credit terms and internal compliance standards. The role offers the opportunity to work across the full servicing lifecycle of complex multi-lender transactions while partnering with internal teams and external stakeholders in a fast-paced banking environment.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate records and complete assigned queue work within established deadlines and service levels.

• Support customer emails, and respond to internal requests received by phone, email, and other approved channels.

• Support branch with monthly certifications, which include dormant accounts, key inventory, internal check review and alarm testing.

• Perform routine account maintenance and support team members as necessary. 

• Process returned deposits, returned checks, deposit corrections, adjustments, and other routine exception items.

• Review and process ACH exceptions, including returns and IATs.

• Research discrepancies, document actions taken and route complex or higher-risk exceptions for review.

• Prepare and send out customer wires.

• At least three years of banking experience in commercial loan servicing, credit union operations, deposit services or lending operations

• Working Knowledge of deposit account processing, customer identification requirements and operational controls. 

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities and time-sensitive queues.

• Sound judgement and the ability to recognize unusual activity, follow escalation protocols, and protect confidential information.

• Clear written and verbal communication skills with a service-oriented approach to supporting members and employees.

• Comfort learning and navigating multiple systems. 

• Ability to work independently, collaborate across teams, and remain flexible as priorities change.
