About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Chemotherapy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: State or compact licensure required Certifications: Chemotherapy Certification preferred Must-Have: Travel experience required Previous charge experience preferred Description: Travel experience is required. Chemotherapy certification is preferred. No local candidates will be considered. Candidates must have experience accessing and managing ports. Candidates must be familiar with administering chemotherapy and blood products. Experience in managing acute tumor lysis syndrome is required. Ability to recognize and manage side effects of chemotherapy is essential. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in patient and family education and support. Experience in care coordination and managing central lines is required. Candidates should be knowledgeable about oncology patient diagnoses including various types of cancer. Basic phlebotomy skills are required. Experience with medication tolerance and dependence assessment is necessary. Familiarity with palliative and hospice care is preferred. Candidates should be able to work in an interdisciplinary team environment. Knowledge of infection control and isolation precautions is necessary. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in IV starts and maintaining IV access. Experience with infusion pump management is required. Candidates should possess skills in wound care and post-surgical care.
