Three Rivers Treatment Center is seeking a Community Manager to join our residential services team. The Community Manager plays a critical leadership role in creating a safe, structured, supportive, and therapeutic environment for youth receiving residential treatment. This position is ideal for someone who can balance compassion with accountability, remain calm during challenging situations, and lead a team with professionalism and emotional intelligence.

As a Community Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of an assigned residential community while providing direct leadership and support to Skills Coaches (Behavioral Health Technicians). Your responsibilities will include overseeing the day-to-day operations of an assigned residential community/unit, providing leadership, coaching, guidance, and real-time feedback to Skills Coaches, directly supervising staff and addressing performance and conduct concerns, promoting a safe, structured, trauma-informed, and therapeutic environment, conducting regular safety and quality-control checks, monitoring resident behavior, safety, and changes in acuity and communicating concerns to the clinical team, guiding staff in appropriate therapeutic interventions, crisis intervention, and de-escalation techniques, monitoring the appropriate use of behavioral management and physical intervention procedures, ensuring required documentation is accurate, complete, and timely, assigning staff caseloads and overseeing resident room assignments, preparing and communicating community/milieu reports that support treatment planning, overseeing the resident jobs program and monitoring participation and progress, participating in resident admissions, discharges, and multidisciplinary treatment planning, identifying staff training needs and recommending additional training when appropriate, submitting and following up on maintenance and facility work orders, prioritizing safety-related needs, collaborating with clinical, medical, education, and residential departments, and ensuring community operations are consistent with Three Rivers Treatment Center policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.

We are looking for a leader who is calm under pressure, dependable, compassionate, accountable, and able to build positive relationships with both staff and youth. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED required, a bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, behavioral health, or a related field preferred, at least one year of experience working with youth with psychiatric and/or behavioral diagnoses in an acute or residential treatment setting, at least one year of experience in behavioral health or residential treatment preferred, experience with crisis intervention, behavioral management, and de-escalation strategies, experience providing staff supervision or leadership preferred, knowledge of trauma-informed care and therapeutic interventions, strong communication, leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills, ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, and must be at least 19 years of age, consistent with applicable Commonwealth of Virginia requirements for children's residential facilities. Required certifications include current CPR certification, current First Aid certification, valid driver's license in good standing, and completion of the facility-approved Behavioral Management Program Instructor training within six months of hire or as soon as the next available course is offered.

This is a hands-on leadership position working directly with youth, residential staff, and multidisciplinary teams. The position includes a combination of administrative responsibilities and direct supervision and requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
