Project Manager - Industrial HVAC/R & Refrigeration Location: Anaheim, CA Employment Type: Full-Time About The Company A well-established, privately held mechanical contractor with nearly 50 years of experience providing maintenance, engineering, and construction services across the Western United States. The company specializes in industrial HVAC and refrigeration systems and continues to grow its presence throughout Southern California and beyond. Position Overview The company is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee industrial HVAC and refrigeration projects. This role requires a strong field background and the ability to lead teams, manage project timelines, and ensure successful execution from start to finish. The ideal candidate brings a hands-on approach and leadership style that supports both field operations and overall project performance. Key Responsibilities Manage industrial HVAC and refrigeration projects from initiation through completion Coordinate and oversee field teams, subcontractors, and project resources Develop and maintain project schedules to ensure timely delivery Oversee procurement of materials and equipment Collaborate with internal teams including engineering and operations Monitor project progress, budgets, and overall performance Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures Maintain clear communication between field and office teams Qualifications 5+ years of experience in HVAC, refrigeration, or mechanical construction Strong field experience required; engineering-only backgrounds will not be considered Experience managing industrial or large-scale commercial projects Knowledge of refrigeration systems (ammonia experience preferred) Familiarity with piping, welding, or pipefitting practices Proven ability to lead field teams and manage subcontractors Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience Company vehicle provided Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid vacation, sick time, and holidays Ongoing training and professional development opportunities Additional Information This is an on-site role based in Anaheim, CA, supporting projects primarily throughout Southern California, with occasional travel as needed.
