Accountant II

The Accountant II supports the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of Tucoemas Federal Credit Union’s financial records and reporting. Under general supervision, this role performs general-ledger activities, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting support while adhering to internal controls, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements. The position contributes to efficient month-end and year-end close processes, audit and exam readiness, and continuous improvement of accounting processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management. Concentration in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. Relevant experience can be substituted for education.
• Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet recurring deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (basic formulas and data organization).
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Professional discretion when handling confidential financial information.
• Prior accounting experience (3+ years required).
