Senior Tax AccountantWe are seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to join Weave's Tax team and play a key role in supporting tax compliance, tax accounting, indirect tax operations, and strategic tax initiatives.This position will partner closely with the Director of Tax and help drive critical projects across the tax function, including indirect tax compliance, tax technology improvements, taxability and nexus assessments, and process optimization. The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented tax professional who takes ownership of their work, communicates effectively, and enjoys solving complex problems in a fast-paced environment.This role offers broad exposure to tax accounting, compliance, indirect tax, process improvement, and strategic tax projects within a growing public technology company.Location: Hybrid 3 days a week in office (Lehi, UT)Reports to: Director of TaxWhat You'll DoSupport U.S. indirect tax compliance, including sales and use tax, telecommunications tax, and related filingsReview and reconcile tax filings, tax reports, and general ledger activityManage tax notices and support audit responsesAssist with U.S. federal and state income tax compliance and quarterly tax provision processesSupport tax-related accounting, reconciliations, and journal entry preparationPartner with Accounting, Finance, Operations, Product, Engineering, and external advisors on tax-related mattersSupport high-impact tax projects, including telecommunications tax initiatives, nexus reviews, taxability assessments, remediation efforts, and tax technology implementationsAssist with tax technology, process improvement, and automation initiativesMaintain organized documentation and workpapers to support compliance and audit readinessWhat You'll Need to Accomplish the JobBachelor's degree in Accounting3+ years of tax experience in public accounting, industry, or a combination of bothStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environmentStrong written and verbal communication skillsAdvanced Excel skillsAbility to work independently and take ownership of projectsWhat Will Make Us Love YouCPA license or progress toward CPA certificationExperience with indirect tax, sales and use tax, state and local tax, or tax compliance functionsExperience with tax provision processes under ASC 740Experience with Avalara or other tax technology platformsExperience responding to tax notices and supporting auditsSaaS, telecommunications, or technology industry experienceWhy Join Weave?At Weave, you'll have the opportunity to work across a broad range of tax disciplines while helping build scalable processes that support a growing public company.
