We're looking for an experienced Heavy Civil Construction Superintendent to join a well-established and growing contractor specializing in infrastructure, utility, roadway, and site development projects throughout Westchester County and the surrounding area.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys being in the field, managing crews, solving problems, and driving projects to successful completion. If you have a strong knowledge in underground utilities, earthwork, and civil construction, this is a great opportunity to take ownership of impactful projects and work with a company that values safety, quality, and teamwork.

As Superintendent, you'll oversee daily construction operations and ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest standards.

• Lead field operations on utility, site development, roadway, excavation, grading, drainage, and paving projects.
• Manage Foremen, crews, subcontractors, and vendors to keep projects running efficiently.
• Coordinate with Project Managers to develop schedules, site logistics, and work plans.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure OSHA compliance on all jobsites.
• Track project progress, manpower, equipment, and productivity.
• Oversee the installation of water mains, sewer systems, storm drainage, and other underground utilities.
• Review construction plans and specifications to ensure accurate execution in the field.
• Maintain communication with inspectors, engineers, municipalities, and utility companies.
• Ensure all work meets quality standards and project requirements.
• Mentor and develop field personnel while building strong, successful teams.
• Assist with project documentation, change orders, RFIs, and reporting.
• Support construction layout, survey coordination, and project planning efforts.

• 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent in heavy civil construction.
• Experience managing crews, subcontractors, and multiple jobsite activities.
• Strong experience in:
  • Water main installation
  • Sewer construction
  • Underground utilities
  • Site development
  • Excavation and earthwork
  • Drainage systems
  • Roadway and paving projects
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• OSHA 10 and First Aid certifications.
• Valid driver's license.

• OSHA 30 certification.
• Experience with municipal, DOT, or public infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with permitting and construction requirements in Westchester County.
• Knowledge of RFIs, change orders, scheduling, and project controls.
• Experience with concrete work and complex civil site development projects.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mount Vernon, NY.

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $150000.00/hr.
