Beauty Counter Manager – Tom Ford – Natick Mall Job Description In the Nordstrom Beauty Department, we strive to make our customers feel their best. The Beauty Counter Manager plays a dual role – part salesperson, part teacher – while maximizing sales in their assigned beauty brand. Ideal candidates are results-oriented, thrive in a commissioned sales environment, are passionate about beauty trends, and can build a customer following both in‑store and digitally. A Day in the Life Conduct makeup applications and skincare analyses, recommending products based on customers’ beauty goals Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all customers Set and achieve personal and counter sales goals, utilizing both in‑store and digital selling tools (including text and social media) Manage the scheduling and execution of vendor events and promotions Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to maximize business results Keep the department customer‑ready through organization and cleanliness Keep up with the latest beauty trends, products, and industry knowledge through trainings provided by Nordstrom and luxury brand partners Manage sales, refunds, exchanges, and build customer loyalty by opening new Nordstrom Rewards program accounts Qualifications & Attributes Passion for customer service and beauty, including trends, makeup application, and skincare Excellent ability to connect with customers, proactively handle concerns, and contribute to a positive team environment Empathy and respect for all customers, providing a supportive environment during makeup and skincare application Strong multitasking, organization, and follow‑through skills Drive to achieve sales goals, with interest in using networking and technology Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including evenings and weekends High level of ownership, accountability, and initiative Physical Requirements: Continuous movement for 6‑8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching to handle merchandise and assist customers Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling Handling bulky and awkwardly shaped items, lifting above the head as needed Regularly lifting items up to 10 pounds, occasionally up to 25 pounds Pay Range Details $24.00 - $25.00 Hourly. Commission for beauty and men’s fragrance sales is typically 3%. (Commission rates and pay may vary by location and individual experience.)
