Intake Specialist About Us God’s Love We Deliver, a nonsectarian organization, is the New York metropolitan area’s leading provider of life-sustaining meals and nutrition counseling for people living with severe illnesses. Begun as an HIV/AIDS service organization, today God’s Love provides for people living with more than 200 individual diagnoses. God’s Love cooks and home delivers the specific, nutritious meals a client’s severe illness and treatment so urgently require. Meals are individually tailored for each client by one of our Registered Dietitian Nutritionists, and clients have access to unlimited nutrition counseling. God’s Love supports families by providing meals for the children and senior caregivers of our clients. All of our services are provided free of charge to clients. About the Role: We seek a dynamic individual to join the Program Services team. The Intake Specialist will help bring our life-changing program to more New Yorkers by enrolling clients in our meal delivery program, engaging clients with compassion and care. This position is a hybrid position, allowing for 1 remote day. This is a Full-Time non-exempt position, paying $23.00-$26.00 hourly. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Develop and exercise expertise in our programs and their requirements, including eligibility; adhere to established guidelines and procedures for onboarding new clients and track your work with detail-oriented data entry. Maintain and update electronic records of applications, correspondence, and intake activities in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards. Maintain a portfolio of partnerships to have a deep expertise in the referring partners’ needs, status of applications, and reporting. Work through a lens of understanding how God’s Love We Deliver’s work fits within the larger healthcare and social service context. Enter new and updated client information into our client database system. Possess an acute attention to detail necessary to recognize errors and inaccuracies in paperwork, etc. Verify the accuracy of submitted information and follow up with clients for clarification or additional documentation as needed. Process requests, forms and applications. Recognize and support the importance of working with other staff across departments as a team serving a common goal. Attend meetings and trainings that support the work of God’s Love We Deliver, as needed. Identify and escalation priority issues. Route calls to appropriate resource. About You: You are highly motivated and empathetic, with a strong desire to provide support to clients living with a serious illness. You are looking for a collaborative, team-oriented environment, and you are energized by connecting clients to services. In addition, you meet the following requirements: A minimum of 3 – 5 years of client/patient-facing experience performing intakes, preferably in a healthcare environment. A minimum of 3 – 5 years of customer service or case manager experience. Ability to organize, manage and complete multiple tasks in a high-volume, time-sensitive environment. Demonstrated customer service skills. Experience using a client database. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Inherently empathetic; can bring abundant patience, compassion, and listening skills to understand client needs and respond effectively. Must be able to learn quickly to acquire the knowledge to answer client questions accurately. For this role, we prefer: Bachelor’s Degree. Prior experience in the healthcare or social services fields in a client-facing role. Experience with a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system such as Salesforce. #J-18808-Ljbffr
