Position: Diesel Mechanic Location: Charlotte, NC Why work for us? In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of vehicles and heavy trucks, ensuring they operate at peak performance. Key Responsibilities: Conduct Regular Maintenance: Perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs on a fleet of heavy trucks and vehicles. Order Parts: Manage inventory and order necessary parts to ensure timely repairs. Track Equipment: Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and maintenance. Assist Lead Mechanic: Collaborate with the lead mechanic on complex repairs and troubleshooting. Maintain Logs: Keep detailed maintenance logs and records. Work Under Pressure: Handle repair tasks efficiently, even in challenging conditions and weather. Qualifications: Diesel Engine Knowledge: Must have experience with Diesel engines and diagnostic experience. Hydraulic & Electrical Experience: Experience with hydraulic and electrical systems, including troubleshooting and repair, is required. Driver’s License: A valid Driver’s License is required. CDL is a plus but not mandatory. Clean driving record is essential. Experience: Previous experience in the waste industry or vacuum truck experience is a plus. Bilingual: Proficiency in additional languages is a plus. Skills: Ability to work under pressure and perform well in various weather conditions.
