Real Estate Paralegal - Commercial

A leading commercial real estate organization is seeking an experienced Real Estate Paralegal to support its legal team across leasing, transactions, litigation, and collections. This role will work closely with senior real estate counsel and collaborate with internal departments, external attorneys, tenants, and other counterparties.

Responsibilities:

• Review and summarize commercial leases, including financial terms, landlord and tenant obligations, rights, and remedies.
• Coordinate lease executions, sublease approvals, and internal sign-off processes.
• Draft and review legal documents related to leasing, commercial real estate, and collections.
• Review letters of credit (LOCs), security deposits, and related lease provisions.
• Support real estate transactions, including acquisitions, financings, and construction-related matters.
• Coordinate lender approvals, lease consents, and Subordination, Non-Disturbance, and Attornment Agreements (SNDAs).
• Track litigation, collections, tenant disputes, insurance, property tax matters, and critical deadlines.
• Monitor outstanding legal matters and provide status updates to counsel and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain organized legal files and update standard operating procedures for leasing activities.
• Communicate with tenants, outside counsel, and other parties to facilitate the timely resolution of legal matters.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of legal experience in commercial real estate, preferably with a focus on leasing.
• Strong knowledge of commercial leases, lease provisions, and real estate legal documentation.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, communication, proofreading, and time-management skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and professionalism.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Proactive problem-solving skills and a collaborative, service-oriented approach.
• Flexibility to work outside normal business hours when necessary.
