Assembly Technician

Airbus Kinston is seeking an Assembly Technician to join our team based in Kinston, NC. Job Description The Airbus Kinston facility specializes in advanced composite aerostructures for the Airbus A350 XWB, including composite center fuselage and wing spar components. As an Assembly Technician you will: Lays out, assembles, pre‑fits, and bonds a variety of metal, composite or laminate fabrications, assemblies, parts, skins or equipment. Follows engineering and manufacturing specifications to determine bonding temperature and pressure. Cuts parts or materials to size. Operates autoclave, hydraulic presses and ovens to complete the bonding cycle. Sands, burrs, smooths and applies sealing resins to edges. Adapts process methods and sequences based on compounds, contours and lay‑up transitions. Performs rework or repair as required. Monitors and verifies quality in accordance with controlled procedures. Utilizes lay‑up tools, gathers required information from prints, charts, sketches, work orders, and documents, and uses shop mathematics and precision measuring instruments. Verifies work meets work instructions and engineering specifications. Assists with additional duties as assigned by leadership; training and certification provided. Qualifications Must be willing and able to work any shift. Workkeys Assessment completion OR High School Diploma/GED.
