EVS Service Worker / Hospital Housekeeper

Responsibilities The employee will perform a variety of cleaning tasks under general direction by maintaining the hospital facilities in a clean, sanitary, orderly, and attractive condition. In order to deliver the highest cleaning standards possible, you will perform the following: Maintains premises in a clean and orderly manner in compliance with Infection Control practices. Cleans offices, patients’ rooms, common areas, lavatories, halls, food services areas and any other areas that may require attention. Cleans light fixtures, ceilings, and vents, walls, mattresses, furniture, windows and window coverings, floors and carpets. Cleans by dusting, mopping, vacuuming and sweeping. Replenishes supplies. Moves furniture, hangs draperies and sets‑up tables and chairs. May change sheets and replenish linens. Follows waste disposal policies. Qualifications and Schedule Work rotating schedule through weekends. Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing (required). Prior EVS experience in a healthcare hospital (preferred). Experience working in behavioral health (preferred). Two (2) years in a hospital environment (preferred). Must be able to demonstrate special training, knowledge and skills specific to the job and/or program specific competency within the first three (3) months of training, and annually thereafter. Must be able to pass a background check, physical exam, and a Tuberculosis test with a PPD skin test or chest x‑ray upon hire; PPD skin test required annually or chest x‑ray tri‑annually thereafter, along with a drug screen. Must be certified in Advanced Placement Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (AP CPI).
