Accounts Payable Specialist

Location: Enfield, CT (fully on-site) Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday Compensation: $27–31/hour Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join their accounting team in a multi-entity environment. This is a high-volume, detail-oriented role in a fast-paced environment where organization, accuracy, and follow-through are essential. Responsibilities Review, code, and enter invoices into the accounting system, ensuring accurate general ledger coding. Allocate expenses to the appropriate company, department, and location across multiple entities. Coordinate invoice approvals with department directors and company ownership. Follow up with vendors and internal departments to obtain invoices and resolve discrepancies. Prepare and process weekly check runs. Maintain organized physical and electronic invoice records. Utilize Excel to track invoice status, payment activity, and reporting. Work closely with Operations, Accounting, and company leadership to ensure timely and accurate payment processing. Support ongoing improvements as the organization transitions portions of its AP workflow to an automated invoice approval process. Qualifications Bachelor's degree strongly preferred; Associate's degree required. 2+ years of full-cycle Accounts Payable experience. Solid understanding of general ledger coding. Experience working with multiple entities, divisions, or locations is preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
