# Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – Western North Carolina**Start Date:** July 23, 2026**Location:** Western North Carolina**Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants**Schedule:** Rotating schedule with every other weekend required; flexibility to work all sections of the Emergency Department; scheduling based on departmental needs**Highlights:**- 101-bed Emergency Department with patient ratios of 4:1 for medical patients, up to 7:1 for ED behavioral holds- Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, and high-volume Emergency Department exceeding 100,000 annual visits- Technicians, unit clerks, and cardiac monitoring unit support available on both day and night shifts- Cerner documentation system with state-of-the-art equipment including Baxter pumps and GE monitors- Opportunity to work in a Magnet-designated facility recognized as one of America's top hospitals by Healthgrades and awarded an "A" Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade- Internal float model within Emergency Department only; no floating outside the department**Requirements:**- Current Registered Nurse license- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in an Emergency Department setting- Previous experience in a Level II trauma center or comprehensive stroke center with high-volume ED preferred- ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS certifications required before start date- ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire- Strong teamwork skills with ability to provide real-time coaching and feedback- Flexibility to work in all areas of the Emergency Department**Why It's a Great Opportunity:**This Emergency Department is renowned for its collaborative team environment and welcoming culture, serving a diverse multi-cultural community representing over 120 languages.
