Setting: hospital environment at a 367-bed facility with 13 OR rooms, averaging 40–60 cases per day. Patient populations include adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Trauma Level II experience preferred. Key Highlights Weekly pay: $1,568-$1,650 per week Shift: 4×10 Days Start date: 06/15/2026 Duration: Weeks Facility size and scope: 367-bed hospital with 13 OR rooms; average 40–60 surgical cases daily Weekend and on-call: 6 shifts per 8-week block, call required Responsibilities Prepare and maintain sterile field for a broad range of procedures across multiple service lines; assist the surgical team with instrument passing, retraction, and suction as needed Uphold aseptic technique, Universal Protocol (time-out), and strict patient safety standards; participate in accurate counts of sponges, needles, and instruments Assist with gowning/draping, patient positioning, and draping to support general, bariatric, vascular, orthopedic, neurosurgical, ENT/head & neck, gynecologic, urologic, and robotic‑assisted cases Manage room setup and turnover between cases; communicate effectively with surgeons, circulators, and other team members Participate in Epic charting for perioperative documentation; ensure accuracy of case details and instrument/tray counts Floats between ORs as needed; accommodate shift flexibility (including a potential 11a–1p window) and participate in on‑call coverage Requirements NY state license in hand to submit Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required 3 years of OR tech experience preferred Travel experience required; prior charge experience and 1:1 patient ratio experience preferred Epic charting experience required Ability to float to multiple ORs; shift flexibility and weekend/on‑call commitments; first‑time traveler not accepted Benefits and Support 24/7 recruiter and travel support Dedicated assignment support throughout the travel period Competitive weekly pay: $1,568-$1,650 per week Potential extension opportunities Pre‑start onboarding and compliance modules to complete before start date Access to ongoing support for charting and intraoperative procedures Please note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
