This position is the recognized resource for the auditing and monitoring of the Office of Higher Education. This position reviews state and federal program records and sub-recipient accounting books, and interviews program directors and finance officers to ensure compliance with state and federal cash management rules and regulations. Desk audits and onsite program fiscal reviews are arranged to complete this task. This position is responsible for providing fiscal technical assistance and training to sub-recipient program directors and business office officials.
Required Education and Experience
This position generally requires possession of a bachelor's degree with at least 24 semester (36 term) credits in accounting and three years of professional experience auditing accounting, financial, and operations records equivalent to an Auditor, including one year equivalent to an Auditor P11.
