Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical Telemetry

Location: Ottumwa, IA

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Shift: 19:00 to 07:00

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit. The ideal candidate will work closely with a team of healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care and support to adult patients, ensuring a safe and effective environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide patient-centered care, including assessments and nursing interventions.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Monitor patient conditions and report significant changes to the medical team.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, adhering to safety protocols.
• Support patients and families by providing education and emotional support.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Current RN license in the state of Iowa.
• MUST pass an Iowa SING background check, including criminal and child abuse checks.
• Mandatory reporter certification (Child and Adult) required.
• 10-panel drug test screening, including opiates.
• Titers must be from the last 12 months.
• 1-2 years of nursing experience preferred; travel experience is a plus.
