Payroll Specialist

Payroll SpecialistUnder general supervision, responsible for accurate and timely completion of payroll processing tasks for the domestic payroll for all business units via Workday Payroll system, including processing pay calculations, generating reports, reconciliations, and responding to inquiries related to payroll or human resources information.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess multi-state US payroll in Workday system for 2500+ employees in 40+ statesProcess bi-weekly Canadian and monthly Expat payrollThoroughly audit payroll register and other reports to identify corrections prior to confirming the payrollRespond to employee inquiries, by either directly answering questions, resolving issues, or directing to the appropriate personProcess off-cycle payments which includes but not limited to manual checks, bonus payments and fringe benefitsMaintain multi-state payroll and employee records according to company and government regulations through WorkdayProvide efficient, accurate, quality service to internal and external clients, including employees, service bureaus and taxing authorities.Ensure compliance with federal and state wage and hour laws, including final pay and overtime laws.Support the year end payroll processProcess and manage all wage garnishmentsPrepare all pay period reports in compliance with audit proceduresOther duties as assignedWhat You BringMinimum 2 years of relevant and progressive Workday Payroll processing experience in a high volume, multi-state/multi-company entityBachelor's degree in accounting, related field, or equivalent education and/or experienceCPP or FPC designation preferredWorking knowledge of federal, state, and local tax withholding laws and regulationsStrong process execution and advanced analytical skills for process support and reconciliationsSolid written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on confidentiality, tact, and diplomacyIntermediate proficiency and experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word)What We OfferCompetitive salary and comprehensive benefit packageStrong learning culture with ongoing development opportunitiesOpportunities for growth and career advancementComprehensive medical, vision, and dental coverage, with eligibility beginning on your first day of employmentBasic life and disability insurance401(k) plan with 6% company match20 days of PTO, two floating holidays, approximately 11 paid holidays, and volunteer time offPaid parental leaveAccess to our award-winning wellness program, including mental health services, fitness network membership, and a complimentary Headspace subscriptionStudent loan matching programEmployee discount programAn opportunity to do meaningful work and love what you do
