Work Environment

Our onsite rehabilitation center boasts cutting-edge equipment and resources specifically tailored for orthopedic care. You will work in a collaborative environment, allowing for seamless communication with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists. The clinic operates Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, enabling a balanced work-life dynamic.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide individualized care plans tailored to each patient's unique goals, needs, and physical conditions.
• Maintain a manageable patient load to ensure dedicated time and attention is provided to each individual.
• Demonstrate expertise in orthopedic outpatient care through direct patient assessments, developing treatment strategies based on evidenced-based practices.
• Utilize a variety of cost-effective treatment modalities to restore patients' functional mobility, emphasizing non-surgical approaches when possible.
• Monitor and evaluate patient progress regularly, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimize recovery outcomes.
• Design and implement wellness and fitness programs that focus on increasing strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Engage patients and motivate them throughout their rehabilitation journey, fostering a positive environment for recovery.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to improve overall patient care and communication.
• Ensure thorough documentation of patient interactions and treatments using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software, specifically Web PT.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with adult and aging populations who are recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, or other musculoskeletal disorders. Your expertise in orthopedic rehabilitation will directly contribute to enhancing mobility and promoting an active lifestyle among your patients. You will have the opportunity to work with diverse conditions ranging from post-operative rehabilitation to chronic pain management.

Qualifications

• Hold a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Possess an active Physical Therapist license in Virginia, with no history of sanctions or board proceedings.
• Have demonstrable proficiency in various manual therapy techniques and exercise program design.
• Exhibit knowledge of current physical therapy practices, principles, and evaluations supported by the latest research.
• Able to efficiently utilize EMR software, particularly Web PT, for accurate and streamlined documentation.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting is highly desirable.
• Experience collaborating within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Proven track record of developing tailored exercise and rehabilitation programs for diverse patient needs.

Compensation and Benefits

Orthopedic Care Physical Therapy offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
