Details Labor and Delivery unit with 100-200 facility births per month Day shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts (7:00-19:30) Option of 36 or 48 hours per week Patient ratio of 1:2 Weekend requirement of 4-6 shifts per 6 weeks Floating to like units within scope may be required based on facility needs, with brief orientation provided Antepartum, high-risk delivery, vaginal delivery, and C-section circulating/recovery care Fetal monitoring using external fetal heart monitoring (EFM) Requirements Active NM or compact RN license required (pending NM/compact accepted if obtained prior to start) Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate (pending certs accepted); AWHONN Advanced preferred Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required, not including new graduate orientation Experience with sterile vaginal exams, obstetrical triage, and central line maintenance (CVC/PICC) Skilled in medication administration including anticoagulation therapy, antihypertensives, and insulin drips IV therapy and phlebotomy skills required Any charting system experience required; Epic experience preferred Additional Information Provide comprehensive labor and delivery nursing care including antepartum monitoring, high-risk and vaginal delivery assistance, and C-section circulating and recovery Scrubs provided Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates are not accepted Former staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler First-time travelers are welcome to apply No travel pairs or groups accepted American Traveler Job ID P-747967.
