Job Details Specialty: Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico Assignment Length: 13 weeks Shift Duration: 12-hour day shifts Weekly Hours: 36 hours, with an option for 48 hours Schedule: 4 to 6 weekend shifts per 6 weeks Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,880 - $1,980 Start Date: 08/31/2026 Setting: Busy Labor & Delivery unit with a supportive travel RN team Job Requirements Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required At least 1 year of Labor & Delivery nursing experience required; 2 years preferred ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate required Strong experience with charting systems and clinical documentation Experience with antepartum care, triage, circulating for C-sections, and high-risk deliveries Ability to support vaginal deliveries, C-section recovery, fetal monitoring, and sterile vaginal exams Open to travel nurses; first-time travelers are welcome Pending New Mexico or Compact RN license accepted prior to start Responsibilities Provide safe, compassionate patient care throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum transitions Assess, monitor, and support obstetrical patients with varying acuity levels Assist with high-risk deliveries and circulate for C-sections in a busy maternal health setting Perform fetal monitoring and interpret external fetal heart tracings as part of routine L&D care Support antepartum, triage, and recovery workflows in a fast-moving Labor & Delivery unit Collaborate with physicians, OB providers, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to promote positive outcomes for patients and newborns Adapt to floating within like units when needed based on facility needs Maintain professionalism, strong communication, and excellent patient-centered care throughout the assignment Apply now to join this Labor & Delivery travel nursing job in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and take the next step in your healthcare career.
