The Mentorship & Literacy Volunteer Recruitment Coordinator is responsible for recruiting volunteers for the youth mentoring and literacy programs serving identified Sioux Falls Title I schools. The Coordinator also supports volunteers within those schools in partnership with the school personnel. This position requires time to be allocated between the Helpline Center and on-site work at the designated schools.
- Provide programming and operations for the mentor recruitment and engagement program
- Lead recruitment efforts for the literacy volunteer program
- Provide on-site mentor engagement
- Maintain accurate records and provide required reporting
- Bachelor’s degree
- Strong oral and written
- English language skills
- Excellent initiative, organizational skills, flexibility
- Ability to effectively share the powerful story of mentoring
- Desire to work with diverse groups
