Ride Attendant – Splish Splash We are an equal‑opportunity employer. Responsibilities Greet customers and assist with questions to provide an engaging customer experience. Enforce height and weight rules for each attraction and tactfully deal with guests who do not meet ride restrictions. Operate aquatics attractions (e.g., waterslide) safely and supervise them at all times. Ensure all policies, procedures and safety protocols are followed. Respond to and, if necessary, report medical emergencies in a timely professional manner. Provide CPR and/or First Aid during emergency situations, as needed. Adhere to Ellis & Associates Standards and Guidelines. Participate in park clean‑up activities such as picking up trash, straightening chairs, cleaning pools, stacking tubes, wiping tables and pressure washing. Perform any other duties assigned by leadership. Pay $17.50 per hour. Qualifications No specific education required; previous work experience is not required. Must be at least 16 years of age to comply with New York State Child Labor Laws. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Possess a safety‑oriented mindset and understand compliance with all federal, state, and local aquatics safety standards. Ability to multi‑task efficiently to ensure excellent customer service. Willingness to learn, follow instructions, and work well with other team members and supervisors. Can work independently with minimal supervision. Proficiency in English; Spanish or another bilingual language is a plus. Physical Requirements Ability to stand or walk for extended periods. Ability to swim, wade, and stand in moderate currents. Ability to kneel, stoop, bend, squat, twist or reach above shoulder level. Ability to grasp, handle, or feel objects with hands. Ability to carry, push, pull, lift, and hold objects up to 30 pounds. Working Conditions Continuous exposure to outdoor aquatics environments. Exposure to variable temperatures, high heat, direct sun, cold, humidity, dust, rain and other weather conditions. Regular exposure to water and pool chemicals. Frequent interruptions and requests that may require reprioritization of activities.
