Painter T1 - Voorhees

Job Title: Painter Purpose: To paint HVAC equipment and replacement parts. Duties and Responsibilities Painters are responsible for prepping equipment and/or replacement parts for painting and applying paint to the equipment. Prepping can include sanding, taping, metal working, etc. Painters will also be responsible for the proper disposal of any chemical/paint waste. The proper use of Personal Protective Equipment, such as safety glasses, steel-toe boots, gloves, and any other PPE is required when necessary. Painters will be required to wear all paint-related PPE during a job, i.e., respirators, paint suits, etc. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of paint safety and willingness to follow all safety/PPE policies and procedures Exceptional attention to detail and quality control Basic math skills Time management skills Ability to perform multiple tasks at once Knowledge of paint, thinners, and painting equipment Knowledge of paint mixing and the use of mixing cups Knowledge and ability to sand/prep parts for paint Ability to work independently and learn on the job Excellent dexterity and hand-eye coordination Metal working or body shop skills for repair projects Education HS diploma or GED Experience Previous painting experience in an Industrial environment is preferred. Working Conditions 8-hour workdays (7am-4pm) with one hour lunch break May require overtime and weekend work. Physical lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, climbing, stooping possible.
