Business Development Representative
New York-based sales hunters are sought to work with the largest CRE firms and manufacturers in the country. While this role begins as a remote-first position, you will help anchor our local presence as we prepare to launch our New York City office by 2027.
This position is for someone who is interested in energy and real estate and wants to be a part of a fast growing, hungry company. The person for this job is naturally tenacious and relentless in anything they do. They are a highly motivated self-starter that enjoys working in a results-oriented environment. This person is excited to hunt for new business. They appreciate the challenge of learning a new industry/role and the opportunity to grow within a company.
Objectives of this role include setting exploratory meetings with prospective commercial real estate clients in order to source opportunities for your VP of Sales, and learning about the commercial real estate and energy procurement industries.
Daily and monthly responsibilities include growing your network to create more new customer opportunities, qualifying companies to see if they are a good fit for our target market, making 350+ cold calls per week, cold emailing prospective customers, booking 2-3 meetings per week, and sitting in on exploratory meetings with Account Executives.
Skills and qualifications include a proven track record of success, excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, being highly competitive, and the ability to work independently / self-motivated. Located in NYC, New York with the ability to work remotely.
ECX Benefits include PTO with 15 days but highly flexible, all major holidays, a full day off on Thursday and Friday of Thanksgiving, and a 12/24 - 1/2 company break. Insurance benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance. Fully covered benefits include basic term life & AD&D insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, and a 401(K) with employer match 20% of total contribution on up to 5% of salary. Additional office policy includes working from home on Fridays and 20 work from home days per year.
