In this role, you will be responsible for working with a variety of stakeholders to coordinate and prepare outbound shipments from Kirkland to domestic and international locations, ensuring optimal productivity and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have strong teamwork experience, excellent problem-solving abilities, robust communication skills, and a keen eye for process improvement to drive our team's success in meeting service level agreements and maintaining high customer satisfaction.Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. Candidates must be 18 years or older with the ability to understand and adhere to all job requirements and safety guidelines.The starting pay for this role in Washington State is up to $32/hour and employees are eligible for incremental raises based on tenure. Base pay information is based on market location.Key job responsibilities:Monitor and report on key performance indicators and service level agreementsCommunicate important information to various stakeholders while managing tight timelines to ensure an on-time deliveryAccurately label dangerous goods for domestic and international shipmentsMaintain quality control and accuracy on shipping metricsPrepare (pack) various items for time-sensitive small parcel or freight requestsCoordinate and improve upon current outbound shipping processesEnsure compliance with safety protocols and proper equipment usageMonitor and prioritize urgent requests and high-priority tasksCollaborate with cross-competent teams on process improvementsEnsure proper metrics tracking and record-keepingTroubleshoot and resolve issues to maintain operational efficiencyBasic Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalentExperience collaborating with cross-functional teamsCan lift loads of up to 49 pounds and carry them for short distancesExperience creating outbound domestic and international shipments (EEI/CI filing)Lifting, standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying are generally required to perform the functions of this positionStanding up to 8 hours a dayAbility to work flexible shift assignments, including overtime and weekends as required, in a high tempo operation environmentExperience packing items for shipmentsPreferred Qualifications:Experience with enterprise systems including SAP, Oracle, and custom applications1+ year experience in handling and packaging of dangerous goods (DOT and IATA standards)Experience within the aerospace, automotive, semiconductor, or electronic manufacturing fieldsForklift certified and experience with handling heavy equipmentDetail oriented, organized, and demonstrates a high sense of urgencyAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.
