Sr Estimator – Water/Wastewater Job Location: Houston, TX; Cary, NC; Overland Park, KS; Dallas, TX; Ann Arbor, MI; Orlando, FL; Phoenix, AZ. This is a full‑time, hybrid role based at one of our U.S. regional offices. Position Overview The Sr Estimator will prepare detailed cost estimates for a diverse portfolio of water and wastewater projects, including treatment facilities, pipelines, heavy civil and structural works, dams, tunnels, and marine construction. The role involves coordinating with design, procurement, and operational teams and providing technical advice across projects of varying complexity. Key Responsibilities Prepare complete and accurate cost estimates for proposals, projects, and studies. Perform quantity takeoffs, assign crews, and estimate productivity for each discipline. Review scopes to ensure compliance with project documents. Coordinate with design teams to understand project complexity and system requirements. Provide technical assistance in preparing estimates ranging from factored to multi‑billion‑dollar bids. Manage multiple projects and estimate timelines, coordinating with procurement and operations. Appraise estimate accuracy and recommend contingencies. Assist the Solution Team Leader with independent accuracy assessments. Oversee the orderly flow of assignments, maintain schedules, and stay within budgeted hours. Train, develop, and mentor junior estimators. Support continuous improvement initiatives and identify value‑adding opportunities. Maintain the company estimating database. Minimum Qualifications 8 to 20 years of relevant experience, including estimating. Experience in field or project roles to support estimating activities. Ability to complete pre‑employment onboarding requirements (background check, drug screen, motor vehicle records). Preferred Qualifications 8–10 years of estimating experience. BS or MS in Construction Management or related field (preferred, not required). Cost control and scheduling exposure is a plus. Ability to manage extremely complex estimates for multinational joint ventures. Strong scheduling, cost engineering, and leadership skills. Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication abilities.
