Position Overview:

Qualifications:

• Education: Current Medical Assistant certification/licensure (if applicable).
• Licensure: Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Experience: Minimum of one year of medical office experience preferred.
• Other requirements:
• • Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-specialty medical practice
  • Professional references required (references will be verified)

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures.
• Escort patients to examination rooms and obtain/document vital signs and medical history.
• Assist physicians during examinations and procedures.
• Perform EKGs, injections, phlebotomy, and specimen collection, if qualified.
• Prepare and clean examination rooms and maintain clinical supplies.
• Process prescriptions and medication refill requests as directed by providers.
• Complete patient forms, referrals, authorizations, and other required documentation.
• Scan and upload medical records and documents into the electronic medical record (ECW experience preferred).
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Follow infection control, OSHA, HIPAA, and safety protocols.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients.
• Perform daily clinical and clerical duties.
• Complete any additional duties assigned by Dr. or Office Manager.
