Resident Assistant Responsibilities Assist residents with personal hygiene & daily living tasks. Provide for resident safety: accident prevention, safety awareness, resident count at mealtime, rounds, and evacuation during emergencies. Assist residents in maintaining health with accurate blood pressure checks, prescribed dietary supplements, encourage exercise and participation in activities, and provide extra assistance during illness. Assist residents in meeting social and recreational needs: remind of activities, escort to planned activities, encourage socialization, and assist with letter writing. Provide assistance at meals: help with menu choices for prescribed diets, aid with cutting food, manage walkers, and coordinate waitstaff services. Resident Assistant Qualifications High school diploma/GED or PA NA Registration (CNA) required. Caregiving experience preferred. Dementia care experience preferred.
