Senior Manager of Nutrition & Food InitiativesAbout the role:This supports nutrition and food initiatives for children, families, and community to promote Clayton's whole child, whole family approach. Oversee the Seed to Stomach activities, food procurement, distribution, budgeting and grant management. Manages partner relationships and services and continually grows and enhances offerings provided by the organization to support child and family wellbeing. Partners internally and externally to provide strategic leadership to realize the vision of the innovation hub for thriving children and families. Delivers a coordinated and coherent set of evidence-based services that meet the needs of families, while working in partnership with Clayton team members to ensure that our direct services are both meeting the needs of families while impacting systems change beyond the Clayton campus.Who we are:Clayton Early Learning is a leading nonprofit dedicated to providing children from birth to five with an exceptional start and empowering families for lifelong success. Our team of over 125 dedicated professionals works in a supportive environment of collaboration, innovation, and personal growth.What the role involves:Student and Family Services Partner LeadershipIn partnership with Director Team members, sets the strategic vision for food and nutrition initiatives on the Clayton campus and drives the partnership development and implementation plan to achieve Clayton's strategic goalsParticipates in a leadership role in campus planning processes to facilitate a coordinated service approach to enable children and families to thriveReviews and evaluates Clayton Cares Market and manages contracts and contractor relationshipsOversee grant invoicing and reporting, including weekly monitoring of procurement and spendingEnsures culturally responsive and inclusive practices in service delivery models to enhance the strengths for students, families, and employeesOversees all aspects of the Clayton Cares Market; purchasing, inventory, procurement, and food safety and sanitationCompliance ManagementMonitors and tracks goals for services and meets with stakeholders to review; analyzes and tracks the team's progress towards achieving federal, program and organization goals and objectives Functional Team LeadBuilds and maintains relationships with internal and external stakeholders including families, partners and government entitiesDevelops, implements, and monitors policies and procedures for the team; includes quality assurance processes and a focus on balancing empirical rigor and cost-efficiency; supports with enforcing guidelines and standards for all proceduresOverseas and develops their team to build expertise; provides support and guidance on activities and workflow; provides regular performance feedback and establishes performance plansRepresents the program in the community to enhance collaboration and advance the brand and reputation of the organizationWhat we are looking for and what you must have:Education: Bachelor's degree in nutrition or a related fieldExperience: 1-2 years of leadership experienceSkills:Operates with a data driven mindset and uses data to drive learnings and continuous improvement for the organizationExcellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adjust style to communicate to diverse audiencesExcellent leadership skills with the ability to build effective and credible relationships and lead a team; serve as a trusted partner within their team and the organizationHighly developed project management skills with track record of strategic design and implementation that generate resultsAbility to build relationships, influence others with strong customer service and interpersonal skills; can relate to others from a variety of backgroundsAbility to identify and seek needed information/research skills; implements creative ways to solve problems while remaining calm in stressful situationsAnalytical thinking skills; can understand and perform intermediate level mathematical computations and analytical skills for assessment and evaluationPlanning and creative skills; ability to create and deliver proposals and presentations independentlyProficient in Microsoft Office Suite; ability to learn and adapt to new softwareMust be able to pass a comprehensive background check, including CBI/FBI fingerprinting, a physical and a national sex offender registry checkBilingual preferredWhat we offer:16+ paid company holidaysSpring Break and Winter Break - up to 10 paid days offAccrued vacation time, starting at 10 days per year up to 30 days per year, based on years of servicePaid sick timeMedical, vision, and dental insurance coverageLife, AD&D insuranceMental health support through our medical coverage and our employee assistance program (EAP)Long-term disability coverage401(k) with 5% employer match after 1 year of employmentFSA plansCollege 529 investment plansIdentify theft and protection plansCompensation:$80,000-$85,000 annuallyClayton's Core ValuesAt Clayton Early Learning, we believe that our core values help to drive actions and create habits that allow our belief in the unlimited potential of young children to become a reality.
