About the Role
The Company is seeking an Assistant General Counsel to join their dynamic legal team. The successful candidate will be the second attorney in a two-lawyer department, taking on a pivotal role that includes owning the commercial contracting pipeline, supporting government contracting, export control, IP protection, and corporate matters. This position demands a professional with a J.D. and active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction, with a preference for those with an active or recent U.S. Government security clearance. The role involves leading end-to-end negotiations of licensing instruments, maintaining proprietary technology standards, and handling a range of legal issues from offer letters to governance matters. The ideal candidate will have 6-10 years of combined law firm and in-house experience, with a strong background in technology transactions, data/software licensing, or government contracts, and a proven ability to work across various teams, translating legal concepts into practical solutions.
